Prior to the beginning of last week's contests, Susan Shelton believed that the challenges that the Bears would go up against Brescia (Ky.), Loyola (La.), Florida College, and Indiana-Southeast would be great early-season tests for everyone inside the Shawnee State University volleyball program.
And while Shawnee State didn't win a match over the course of the weekend, playing three 20-win units from last season, along with the in-game improvement in all three aspects, will be critical as the Bears head into their home and Mid-South Conference opener against the Thomas More volleyball program on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. in Waller Gymnasium.
