[Women's Lacrosse] Blackmon has record setting day in season-opener
Georgetown College women's lacrosse opened its fifth varsity season in style. Despite the gloomy day, there was nothing gray about the way the Tigers (1-0) played. GC dominated Berry College for a 21-3 victory in mercy-rule fashion.
Avery Blackmon set several career, season and in-game goals as a junior, so what better way to start her senior year than by breaking two single-game marks.
Her 14 points – six goals and eight assist – broke Merrisa Heraldson's 2015 record of 12 points in a game. The eight assists broke Blackmon's own record of five assists in a game, which she had done three times previously.
