[Men's Soccer] Raiola Earns COSIDA Academic All-District

Des Moines, IA - For the second year, Grand View men's soccer senior Simone Raiola (SR/Triuggio, Italy) was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District® first team following the 2018 season. Complete list. 

The 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men's Soccer Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

Raiola carried the middle of the field for the Vikings, tallying six goals and four assists on the season. He was the driving force in many matches. Raiola has earned All-Conference first-team honors in 2018 and 2017 along with third-team in 2015.

Raiola was joined by Baker University's Austin Halsey to represent the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
