[Women's Soccer] Skyhawks Soar past Lady Knights Soccer

WEST POINT, Ga. – The St. Andrews University Women's Soccer team fell to Appalachian Athletic Conference contender Point University on Wednesday afternoon, 5-0.

The Lady Knights dropped a 5-0 match to the Skyhawks as they had trouble breaking through against Point's tough defense.

Freshman Kaitlyn Amos would be the only Lady Knight to have a shot on goal for the day, forcing Point goalkeeper Martha Mormeneo to make the save. Knights' senior goalkeeper Liz Garner (SR/Huntingtown, MD) made 7 saves but allowed five tough goals. Point's Jessica Torres scored two out of the five goals with three other Skyhawks scoring the remainder of the goals.

Point was able to outshoot the Knights 26-1 overall with 17 shots on goal. St. Andrews Women's Soccer schedule has now been completed, finishing the season 1-12.
