OMAHA, Neb. – The No. 5 seeded Saint Xavier University women's basketball team (25-7/21-1 CCAC) came up short against No. 12 Bethel University (Tenn.), 79-69, in the NAIA Opening Round Omaha Sports Commission Bracket in the Naismith Quadrant Friday afternoon at D.J. Sokol Arena on the campus of Creighton University (Neb.) in Omaha, Neb. Senior forward Claire Austin (Chicago, Ill./Davenport/Marist) led the Cougars with 19 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and a steal. Austin was 11-for-13 from the foul line and posted her 20th double-double of the season.
