KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Avila worked hard to escape from an early deficit and level the score in the second half against one of the KCAC's top teams, but Bethel (14-4, 9-3 KCAC) got hot down the stretch and pulled away to put away Avila (7-11, 6-6 KCAC) by a final count of 74-58 on Monday night in Mabee Fieldhouse.
