Given his druthers, Alex Gutierrez (SR/La Puente, Calif.) prefers run blocking over pass blocking.

That's not to say he's better at one or the other, just that he likes the one-on-one confrontations run blocking affords.

"Even though pass blocking at some points is easier I'm always looking for work," said Gutierrez, Kansas Wesleyan's senior center. "Run blocking is basically who's the bigger man at that point?"
