DES MOINES, Iowa. – The 20th-ranked Lyon College women's basketball team came up just short in its 2018-19 season opener on Saturday afternoon with a 62-58 loss to (RV) William Penn at the Grand View Classic. Three players ended the game in double figures for the Scots, with Ali Tucker notching a team-high 17 points.

The Scots fell to 0-1 on the year, while William Penn improved to 3-0.
