Asian Games 2023: Indian badminton players handed mixed draw in individual events

Indian badminton players HS Prannoy and PV Sindhu have received first-round byes in the individual events at the Asian Games. Prannoy, ranked seventh in the world, will face Batdavaa Munkhbat of Mongolia in the second round, while Sindhu, ranked seventh seed in women's singles, will open her campaign against Wen Chi Hsu of Chinese Taipei in the second round. The draw also revealed the opponents for Indian doubles pairs, with Chirag Shetty and Satwik Rankireddy set to face Lui Chun Wai and Chow Hin Long of Hong Kong in the first round.
