Chief Operating Officer Retirement
BPAC would like to inform about the retirement of our Chief Operating Officer, Mrs. Pilar Carrillo, effective December 31st 2019.
Pilar’s leaving, after over 12 years, marks the end of an era at Pan Am Badminton Confederation.
She has supported the formation of some our newest Member Associations, such as Bolivia and Haiti. She has assisted in the formulating of the bidding system for our Continental Championships and has been a key person in our last 4 Pan Am Games. She was designated by Badminton World Federation as Technical Director for Lima 2019 Games. She has organize our New Office and Staff and kept fluent and positive communication with BWF and our current Membership. Pilar also establish our programs with Special Olympics, PASO , FISU America among others.
We are indebted to her work ethics, passion and commitment which helped move us to be a well-respected Continental Confederation within the Badminton family.
There will be a transition period of six months in which Pilar will assist as an advisor and finalize some duties for us.
We wish Pilar our best in her future plans and hope she will be able to support Badminton whenever she can.
