Australia's best U19 players are in action this week at the 2019 Australian U19 Badminton Carnival.
Australia's next generation players are competing in both a teams and individual championships in Hobart, Tasmania for the next 7 days. The event kicked off on Saturday 7 July with teams from across the country competing for the CP Madden Trophy.
Individual knockout events starts on Wednesday 11 July, with the finals taking place on Saturday 14 July 2018. The tournament is a key selection event for the World Junior Championships to be held in Canada later in the year. Recent Australian Thomas and Uber Cup representatives Peter Yan, Kai Chen Teoh and Zecily Fung will be in action at the event. Zecily has qualified to represent Australia at the upcoming 2018 Youth Olympics.
