Lakshya Sen loses All England final to World No. 1 Viktor Axelsen

After igniting the hopes of millions of Indians, Lakshya Sen lost 21-10, 21-15 to World No.1 and Olympic champion Viktor Axelsen of Denmark in the men's singles final of the All England Badminton Championship. He fell just short of emulating the feat of his mentor Prakash Padukone and Pullela Gopichand. While Padukone, at whose academy Lakshya learned the nuances of the game and still trains, won it in 1980, Gopi won it in 2001.
