0

SEMA 2014 is right around the corner and already people have started announcing their SEMA builds. Bulletproof is on the scene to gather all of the sneak peaks leading up to SEMA as well as great coverage once it starts. Continue to check back to see the newest parts and builds from SEMA as they are announced.

Here, we are featuring everything new for the Scion Fr-S / Toyota FT86 / Subaru BRZ:

Scion FR-S Tuning Challenge

For the last 10 years, Scion has hosted the Tuning Challenge where they give a new car to several tuners with or with out restrictions to see what the top tuning shops can do with them. This year Scion has teamed up with the top media publications in the Auto industry, Speedhunters, Super Street, and GT Channel. Each will get a new Scion FR-S with less than 90 days to build the best car they can with only $15,000. To make things more interesting, each car must use at least one element from the new Series 1.0 FR-S. Make sure to cast your vote for which Scion FR-S you think should win here.

Speedhunters

The team at Speedhunters did their research with this ’70s/’80s IMSA TRD racecar themed Scion FR-S. The details from the paint job to re-positioned mirrors really sets this FR-S apart for me. Cobb was nice enough to hook them up with the first version of their Stage 2.0 Supercharger. Other goodies include custom wheels to fit inside Speedhunters own wide body kit.

GT Channel

GT Channel teamed up with Mine’s and MotoIQ. Featured on this build are some beautiful Volk Racing ZE40’s in matte blue gunmetal, Recaro seats, TRD side skirts, side fenders and TRD HID headlights and even an Esprit front lip spoiler. The car is a beauty, very clean and well executed! Read the full mod list here.

Super Street

The first individual throttle body set up on a FR-S in the United States! As a sponsor of this car, we absolutely love how this wideboy Scion FR-S came out! Read a full mod list on the Super Street Scion FR-S here.

The judges this year are going to have a VERY tough time choosing a winner. Stay tuned to see how wins it.

Scion FR-S T1 by Jeremy Lookofsky of Cartel Customs

This striking Scion FR-S features a custom targa top that reminiscent of sports cars from the 80's. Everything about it works on this car. With a custom light blue paint job, the mods on this car do not stop on the exterior. Featured on the car is a GReddy turbo kit, Wilwood big brake kit, custom center mount exhaust, with KW coil over suspension.

Raw Heart Scion FR-S

This FR-S is rocking the full Varis aero in a gorgoues cherry red with some new SSR Professors TF1s to finish off the look. The engine features a Vortech supercharger with plenty of carbon goodies to dress up the engine bay.

Buddy Club Scion FR-S with a supercharged V8 engine swap.

Here is another great example of a mild widebody Scion FR-S with a vented carbon hood from Sebon. Something about canards on a fenders that makes me giggle with envy.
