Like several other drivers on this list, Owen got started as a full fender driver, racing in the Late Model and ProStock ranks at Stafford. Owen ran a single SK Modified® event in 2002 before going full-time in 2003 and winning Rookie of the Year honors. Owen won his first feature event in 2005 at Stafford and he has since accumulated 22 wins and counting, which currently places him in a 3-way tie for 10th place on Stafford’s all-time SK winners list.
Owen is a multi-time feature winner at all 3 Connecticut tracks as well as being a multi-time champion at all 3 tracks. Owen is the only driver in Stafford history to win the SK Modified® championship 3 years in a row (2021-2023) and in an amazing show of consistency, Owen had a streak of 36 consecutive top-10 finishes in SK Modified® feature events at Stafford from mid-2022 through early 2024.
