Australian GP: Challenging Friday for Williams F1 Team
The Friday practice sessions for the 2026 Australian GP would see the Atlassian Williams F1 Team having to contend with a challenging two sessions with Alex Albon finishing 15th and Carlos Sainz 17th after FP2. Both drivers would suffer from issues that saw their running limited with Alex stopping with an hydraulic issue out on the track in FP1 while Carlos was only able to complete 10 laps and then would stop in his garage for the remaining of FP2. The team is still trying to get to grips with the challenges in terms of energy harvesting and deployment. It is very much the case that the team is in a continuing process of learning, such that there is still a lot of room for improvement and hopefully they will be able to make some steps overnight.
