Curtain Falls on Round 2 of the 2026 Arabian Drag Racing League
Amid an electrifying atmosphere and thrilling competitions that kept fans on the edge of their seats, the second round of Arabian Drag Racing League 2026 came to a close. The round was held under the generous patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Thani, Chairman of Qatar Racing Club, and witnessed a remarkable turnout of spectators.
This round saw a noticeable increase in the number of participants, with elite champions from the Gulf countries, the region, and the United States competing for titles across the championship’s eleven categories. Competitors were seeded into the elimination brackets based on qualifying results, which extended over two full days, with some categories running their qualifying sessions across all three days allocated for the round.
Pro Bike
Mohammed Al-Awad recorded his first podium finish in the championship by winning the title in the most powerful motorcycle category, Pro Bike. He defeated Mishaal Al-Sabr in the final race, while first-round champion Bradley McCoy had to settle for third place in this round.
Super Street Bike
In the Super Street Bike category, Mohammed Bu Rashid reached the final for the second round in a row and this time successfully claimed his first title of the championship at the expense of his rival Mishari Al-Marri. Third place went to the opening round champion, Mishari Al-Turki.
Street Bike
As for the third motorcycle category, Street Bike, the title went to Mustafa Mahmoudi, who had finished third in the opening round, after he overcame Ahmed Karam in the final race. Meanwhile, the previous round’s runner-up, Dawood Al-Sharshani, finished third in this round.
At the conclusion of the competitions, His Excellency Sheikh Jabor bin Khalid Al Thani, General Manager of Qatar Racing Club, crowned the winners who achieved first, second, and third places in each category on the podium, in the presence of a distinguished crowd and with the attendance of several Qatari and Gulf media outlets.
With that, the second round of the championship came to an end, as preparations begin for the third round, scheduled to kick off on Wednesday, 21 January.
