Peterborough Speedway Champions Put it all Together for 2025

0 13

Local racers share a passion. A dedication to the sport and a commitment to the families, friends, fans and sponsorship partners who support their teams on a weekly basis. Saturday, August 30th Peterborough Speedway’s Championship Clash recognised the effort and appetite of its race teams.

He might be relatively new to the sport, but Alex Dallaire’s No. 46 crew logged some impressive stats during the 2025 Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stock season. Everything culminated with the driver’s first career feature win Saturday, August 2nd and a champion clinching 2nd place effort at the Championship Clash less than a month later.

Mike Nelson has been a familiar face for Peterborough Speedway fans since 2007. In addition to his time in the Mini Stock ranks, he also ran with what is now known as the Ontario Sportsman Series. The recently completed schedule was a banner year for Nelson. In his first year back on a full-time schedule, he scored 3 main event wins and clinched the SwitchTire Mini Stock championship with a runner-up finish in the final event of the season.

Beginning his short track racing association as a sponsor for several drivers, Paul Boundy has competed in the Renegade Truck and Super Stock ranks at Peterborough Speedway; occasionally running in both divisions on the same night. While he had come close to the top of the point standings before, this year he sealed the deal in the Jiffy Lube Super Stock ranks on the strength of a consistent season with a Saturday, July 19th feature win.

Peterborough Speedway’s Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing Renegade Truck field can be classed as a tight knit family. A pair of close friends became friendly racing rivals during the 2025 season as Howie Crowe and Mark Gordon dominated the winner’s circle. Gordon scored 4 feature wins during the schedule, including a checkered flag on the final night of the year.

Experience can teach a weekly racer how to get things done. Norwood, Ontario’s Ryan Kimball has been a strong runner in Peterborough Speedway’s KOD Disposal Late Model field. During the Saturday, August 30th season finale, the driver of the No. 16 ride used the strength of a pair of 2025 feature event wins to take his 3rd straight championship in the Central Ontario oval’s headline division.

Hudson Sellers turned in a solid performance during the 2025 Nadeau’s Collision Service Junior Late Model season at Peterborough Speedway. The driver of the No. 38 ride scored feature event wins on June 7th and July 12th. Despite injuring his hand during an Ontario Bandolero Series event, his 4th place effort during this year’s Championship Clash was a strong enough effort for the youngster to clinch the point title.

The 2025 schedule will continue October 10th through 12th with the 32nd annual B&G Towing and Recovery Autumn Colours Classic. Keep following www.peterboroughspeedway.com or the track’s social media platforms and pages for event details.
