Photo Review: 2025 Summit Racing MidWest Drag Racing Series

The Summit Racing MidWest Drag Racing Series made its annual trek up north to US 131 Raceway Park in West Central Michigan last weekend in conjunction with the track’s Funny Car Nationals. Racers were greeted with ideal conditions for very fast runs. Photos by Dave Oakes

Sean Ellington took “Blue” to the number 1 spot in Pro Mod with a near record 3.55.

The Pro Mod event win went to Robert Davis. He ran 3.57/209.11 in the final to take the win over Jacob McNeal.

Keith Youngblood wheeled the Pennington Motorsports rail to the number 1 spot in top dragster at 3.970.

Jason Jensen ended up with the top dragster crown with a 4.53 win over Terry Kammler.

Michigan’s Jon Vesper defeated Tyler Wells for the win in Top Sportsman.

Tony “Sandman” Williams returned to Pro Mod competition after an 11-month layoff.

Tyler Wells continued his strong 2025 campaign with a number 1 qualifier and runner-up finish in Top Sportsman.
