Nottestad Dominates both twin features during Championship Night Round 1 AT JEFFERSON SPEEDWAY

Late Models

Taylored Construction and Remodeling presented Round One of Championship Night at Jefferson Speedway. Champions were crowned in the Bandit, Legend, and Bandolero Divisions.  Tom Schuette defended his Championship and is now a two time and back to back Champion in the Bandit division. Jackson Lewis had a dominant season in the Legend division and earned the 2025 Track Championship. Teegan Wangsness brought home the season crown in the Bandoleros. The night was also highlighted with twin 40 lap Late Model Features. Dale Nottestad was the nightly overall winner for the show. Nottestad left no doubt, winning both main events.

Scott Patrick and Tim Coley battled hard up front early in the first 40 lap Late Model Feature. At the halfway point, Coley held the top spot but had heavy heat from Patrick. Patrick found a way around Coley with 13 laps to go. Nottestad followed Patrick’s path into second. Coley would get turned around by Jevin Guralski, collecting Shaun Scheel. Patrick and Nottestad lined up side by side on the restart. Nottestad would gain the advantage and drive on for the victory. Patrick held on for second. Michael Grueneberg, Michael Guderski, and Jason Erickson rounded out the top five.

Kyle Smith shot out to the early lead in the second 40 lap Late Model Feature. Guralski quickly found his way around Smith, with Erickson, Grueneberg, and Nottestad following Guralski’s line. Guralski was pulling away while Erickson, Grueneberg, and Nottestad mixed it up for the runner up spot. A caution would tighten the field with ten laps to go. Nottestad took advantage of the late restart and went two for two on Feature wins for the night. He was followed by Grueneberg, Erickson, Guralski, and Seth Reamer.

Ryder Robinson finished with a strong podium finish. Teegan wangsness, the 2025 Champion would come home forth. Emily Billings drove her machine to fifth.

Goecks was followed by Nick Schmidt, Matt Kronos, Trent Rueth, and Mason Wilcott. Tom Schuette’s sixth place finish was enough to secure the Track Championship.
