Italian GP: Points recovery for Williams Racing

After a frustrating qualifying the Atlassian Williams Racing Team went into the 2025 Italian GP with the hope that with their race pace they could turn their weekend around. And that is what they did with a 7th place finish from Alex Albon. The race would see Alex and Carlos Sainz start the race on a split strategy with Alex on the hard and Carlos on the medium. Later on in the race Carlos would allow Alex to get past, under direction from the team, and this would see Alex move forward and onto the eventual points result. For Carlos his race was another frustrating one as he dropped down the order and then after having changed to the hard would be involved in a collision with another driver that would see him spin and suffer damage effectively ruining his race. The other driver was given a 10 second penalty. Had it not been for this is was most likely the case that Carlos also would have finished in the points. But still the team came away with a result that would see them extend their points lead for 5th in the Constructors championship.
