Cottage Country Bash Opens the Month at Peterborough Speedway
Central Ontario’s favourite place to race has taken on a long weekend vibe.
Peterborough Speedway celebrates a new month of action – Saturday, August 2nd – by hosting the Cottage Country Bash with a 50 lap SwitchTire Mini Stock Invitational, along with the home track Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stock, Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing Renegade Truck, KOD Disposal Late Model and Nadeau’s Collision Junior Late Model divisions.
Battling for bragging rights, chasing the checkers, or driving for dollars, the goal of the extra distance headliner is visiting victory lane. With $100 to take the green flag, some of the top Mini Stock pilots in the province will pursue a $350 winner’s payday with bonus payouts available throughout the field.
The initial date for the month will also include the return on the Junior Late Models and the Peterborough Speedway promotional team is pleased to announce that the fan favourite division will also debut a new title sponsor, with backing from Nadeau Collision and Towing. At this point of the schedule, close to 25 different racers have scored points in at least one event on the calendar.
Don’t miss the Cottage Country Bash – with a free pre-race corn roast – Saturday, August 2nd at the venue known for Making Memories for Life. Grandstands open at 4:00, with the night’s race card taking the green flag at 6:00.
