2025 Summer Season Continues at Peterborough Speedway

Everybody wants a piece of the hot summer racing action and Peterborough Speedway is happy to come through.

The next date on this year’s line-up is Saturday, July 5^th with the home track Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stock, Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing Renegade Truck and Jiffy Lube Super Stock divisions, plus OMRS and the Peterborough Speedway leg of the SPS Junior Late Model Rumble Series. Kid’s racecar rides will be the intermission attraction. Spectator gates open at 5:00, with racing at 6:00.

A couple of weeks into the regular season schedule sees that more than 20 of the fan favourite Junior Late Model teams have been in action. This weekend’s Rumble Series event is part of a 3-race shootout between Sunset, Peterborough and Sauble Speedways. Teams from all 3 tracks will compete for bragging rights and the inaugural event’s overall title.

While the group’s showcase event – the Bill Pickford Memorial – has been rescheduled to Saturday, August 16^th, GEN-3 Electrical OMRS teams will be part of this weekend’s action. The group recently held its first show of 2025 at Flamboro Speedway. The total point format line-up with a pair of features saw a first career win by Ethan Thompson and a checkered flag by John Baker Jr. JBJ was named the overall winner. OMRS officials also announced that they have moved their July 12^th show to July 19^th.

Make your plans now for the Mid-Season Bash – presented by New Country KX 105.1 – Saturday, July 12^th. Headlined by a 50-lap main event for the Ontario Outlaw Super Late Models, the raceday line-up will also feature the home track Mini Stock, Late Model and Junior Late Model divisions, with King of the Hill as the intermission feature.
