Double Toonie/Fan Appreciation Night is Back at Peterborough Speedway
A really big motorsports show is on the way to Central Ontario.
Saturday, June 7th, the season’s first Double Toonie/Fan Appreciation Night – presented by Pepsi – takes centre stage at Peterborough Speedway. Home track Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stock, SwitchTire Mini Stock, Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing Renegade Truck, Jiffy Lube Super Stock and Junior Late Model classes will share the racing spotlight, with a trackside autograph session during the halftime break. Grandstand gates will open at 4:00, with racing at 5:00. Spectator general admission passes are just $4.00.
After fighting a couple of losing battles with Mother Nature, the promotional team at Peterborough Speedway is charging full speed ahead with the special brand of family motorsports entertainment fans have come to expect throughout the track’s 58-year history. Venue owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse says its time to put the early year’s weather issues behind them and move forward with a strong 2025 line-up.
“From the far reaches of the pit area to the top row of the grandstands, the Double Toonie/Fan Appreciation Nights – presented by Pepsi – are some of the most popular shows on our annual calendar from either side of the fence,” said Josiasse. “Racers enjoy the opportunity to meet the fans as much as the fans look forward to the chance to see the cars and talk to the drivers.”
Advance tickets are now on sale for the 100-lap APC Late Model and 50-lap Dayco Super Stock events – presented by KOD Disposal – Saturday, June 14th. Also on the docket will be a 50-lap Bone Stock Shootout, paying $100 to start and $250 to win.
