Site slowing down

I don't know if it's just me, but, for say the last couple of weeks, the site seems to be very slow in initially loading, and then when moving to new threads, it seems to hang before that thread loads. And then, it hangs again when closing the tread to go back to the index of threads.
Having said that, this doesn't happen all the time, but it can happen at different times of the day. Earlier this evening, it loaded quickly and swiftly changed threads, but right before posting this, it slowed down again.
In case it matters, I am still on Windows 10, and am viewing through Firefox.
Added: it has just sped up again! And immediately slowed down to post the addition, and return to the main index.
