TA is classed by power, weight, and tires—so your souped-up track monster isn’t guaranteed glory. A Mazda 3 Wagon snagged the TT6 crown one year.

EVENT OVERVIEW

• • The Track Attack Series will be ran in congruent with Open Track Events. 
    • • Registration capped at 36 total entries (3 Run Groups) 
      • Everyone is required to attend the drivers meeting 
      • Everyone is required to participate in qualifying lap runs for each event.

MINIMUM CHAMPIONSHIP REQUIREMENTS

• • There will be a 10-point penalty for late arrivals
  • Must verify attendance of at least 5 prior “track” events (HPDE Course, Open Track Days, etc.) to participate.
  • Must participate in the Qualifying Laps portion of each event– 3 laps (10 minutes for each Group; Group 1 Intermediate and Group 2 Advanced).
  • Must attend 4 of the 5 events to qualify.
  • Classes must have at least 3 entries during a minimum of 4 of 5 events for the class to qualify for the season championship points and prizes.
  • Driver’s may not switch classes to help another class qualify.
  • After Qualifying Laps are complete, the event will operate like a regular FIRM Open Track Day with 20 min sessions / maximum 12 cars per session.
  • Competitors are encouraged to stay after qualifying to protect your lap time as everyone else has all day to see what time to beat! 
  • The FIRM’s Track Policies, Vehicle Technical Inspection Sheet and Open Track Requirements apply
  • Heads-Up on Car Modifications 
    • Your weight-to-horsepower ratio determines your class.  
    • Modifications to your car after your first event, may change your class and which would disqualify you. 
    • Keep it consistent, and if in doubt, check with event officials before making changes.  

 

TRACK ATTACK SPECIAL VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS

• • Name/Car/Class MUST be accurate in MSR when registering.
  • It is drivers responsibility to notify official if there are discrepancies between MSR and MYLAPS  - Before the Drivers Meeting.
  • Car with Driver will be weighed at The FIRM
  • Dyno not required – based on the “honor code system”
  • A competitor may confidentially protest the on track behavior, any violations within the honor code, or any other suspected violations within the TA Rules and Guidelines.
  • Numbers and Class Designation: All Cars must display a 2 or 3 digit number on both sides of the vehicle with Class Designation. For example “ 44 – TT2” or “444 – TT2 ”.

 

CLASSES AND CALCULATIONS

• • We use the simple HP/Weight Ratio. Simply take the gross weight of your car and divide it by how much horsepower your car makes.  
  • For example: 2025 Honda Civic Type R “Weight: 3,188lbs / 315 Hp = 10.12” This example car would be placed in TT3. 

• • • • TA1: 6.00:1 or greater
      • TA2: 8.00:1 or greater
      • TA3: 10.00:1 or greater
      • TA4: 12.00:1 or greater
      • TA5: 14.50:1 or greater
      • TA6: 19.00:1 or greater
      • TAEV: All EV’s

POINTS

• • 1st Place- 100pts
  • 2nd Place- 90pts
  • 3rd Place- 85pts
  • 4th Place- 80pts
  • 5th Place-75pts
  • 6th Place- 70pts
  • 7th Place – 69 points subtract (1) point to determine each place thereafter. 

Tie-Breakers will be settled at the end of 5th event with a final 3 Lap Head-to-Head

• • Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place or each qualifying class. 
  • We are working on more prizes from sponsors and updates will be hosted here. 
  •  Classes must have a minimum of 3 entries per event for at least 4 of the 5 events in order to qualify for season points. (Refer to rules and regulations above).

RULINGS & DECISIONS:

• • If you are unsure of something, check in advance.
  • All protests must be submitted in writing within 24 hours of the completion of an event.
  • The final classification of all cars will be at the discretion of the check in crew. No discussion will be entered.
  • The organizers’ decision shall be final.
  • No dispute shall be entered.
