THOMAS WINS $10,000 Pete Jacobs Memorial, MOORE WINS HIS 12TH, GOFF, SEBETTO, AND TUCKE FIND VICTORY LANE

0 3

By William Burkhart

Braden Tucke and Brandon Craver would lead the field to the green in the Glass House Super Stock feature event. Tucke would get out to an early lead with Craver and Brad Hensel battling behind him. Craver would work the top with Hensel on the bottom. Don Baney would throw his hat into the mix. Baney would make the charge into second and try to track down the 18 of Braden Tucke. The field would run green to checkered as the 2024 track champion Braden Tucke would pick up another feature win. Don Baney would finish second and Brandon Craver in third.

Cale Thomas and Zeth Sabo would bring the 22 car field to the green for the $10,000 to win Pete Jacobs Memorial. Thomas would jump out to the early lead. Cap Henry would be hot on his tail in the 33W. 2 laps in Cap Henry would unfortunately fall to mechanical issues ending his run. Thomas would hit his marks and rocket out to a big lead over the 25R of Jordan Ryan. Third place Bradon Spithaler would reach the back bumper of Jordan Ryan for second. Zeth Sabo and Henry Malcuit would both join in the battle for third. Thomas would pick through lap traffic one by one around the 3/8 dirt oval. Jordan Ryan would try everything he could to get to the back bumper of Cale Thomas. Henry Malcuit would shake off Sabo and Spithaler to inherit the third spot. Jordan Ryan would catch the back bumper of Cale Thomas for a second but couldn’t get by him. As he did the Malcuit would pass the 25R. At the end of it all Cale Thomas would pick up the $10,000 payday. Henry Malcuit second and Zeth Sabo third.

The 305s would take to the track next. Brian Sebetto and Jimmy McGrath JR would bring the field to the green. McGrath would take the opening lap from Sabetto. Sabetto would get by him 2 laps in and start to drive away from the field. McGrath would get pressure from Brenden Torok for second. Torok would drive past the 5JR and take over second. Dustin Dinan would slip into the third spot in his 5DD machine. It looked as if Sebetto would take home an easy 20 lap win until 2 to go when Tyler Schiets would fall off the pace. Sebetto would have a great restart and secure his win with the 305s. Brenden Torok would come second and Dustin Dinan in third.

Flyin Ryan Markham and Kyle Moore would bring the field to the green for the Malcuit Tavern UMP Late Models. Moore would jump out to an early lead in the 1*. Todd Brennen would get past the 5M of Markham to take over second. Bucks auto sales yellow would fly on lap 4. Back under the green Brennen would try to run down the 1* of Moore. Brennen would look to the bottom of Moore many times to no avail. Brennen would run an identical line as Moore. 4 to go Brennen was at the back bumper of Moore before tagging the wall and almost flipping hi number 20 Rocket XR1. He put the car back on all 4 and would try to get to Moore in the closing stages of the 25-lap feature but it wouldn’t be Enough. Kyle Moore would continue his dominance with his 11th win of 2024 at WCS. Brennen second and Larry Bellman third.

Markham would be on pole again for the Flynn’s Tire and Auto Service UMP Modifieds. Dustin Daugherty would start to his outside. Markham would take the early lead in the Stan Twoarg owned 5 car. Jimmy Humphrey, Casey Butler, and Caden Alexander would battle for the third spot before Humphrey would get the third spot. Yellow would fly on lap 6 as Colten Lehman and Jesse Griffits would tangle. Brad Goff would come alive from the 6th spot. He would start passing cars left and right as he would track down the 5 of Ryan Markham. 5 to go Goff would catch the 5 of Ryan Markham. Goff would rip the lip and take the lead from Markham. Markham would try everything he could, but it wouldn’t be enough as Brad Goff would pick up the feature win. Markham in second, and Dustin Daugherty 3rd.

Thank you to all the fans who stuck around throughout the weather delays and all the drivers for pitching in and helping run the track in. Racing action will take a 2 week pause for the Wayne County Fair as we will be back in action on September 20 and 21 for the Ohio Dirt Blowout.
