0 16

The 90 minutes of running for FP2 saw a Hypercar class 1/2 overall with the #36 Alpine of Andre Negrao setting the fastest time of the meeting so far with a 2:03.396, his early session effort besting a later lap from Brendon Hartley in the #8 Toyota GR010-Hybrid by just 0.035s!

Third fastest was the #22 United Autosport’s Oreca, Felipe Albuquerque again the top time setter with a lap in 2m03.733, 0.35 seconds faster than his class-topping mark yesterday with the #26 G-Drive Racing Aurus of Nyck de Vries also under 2:04.

Third fastest in the class was Alex Brundle in the #34 Inter-Europol Competition Oreca, a further boost to the WEC-debuting team’s weekend.

GTE Pro was again a close-knit group with the exception of the #63 Corvette which had a delayed start to their session and did not get onto the prevailing pace.

It was a Ferrari at the top of the times with the #51 Ferrari topping the times, a 2:13.552s by James Calado two tenths ahead of the #91 Porsche, the top four covered by just 6 tenths.

In LMGTE Am the #77 Dempsey Proton Porsche headed the 12 car class with Jaxon Evans delivering a best lap of 2:14.170 half a tenth ahead of Francesco Castellacci in the #54 AF Corse Ferrari with a two-tenths gap to the #60 Iron Lynx car of Claudio Schiavoni.
