I am James, Vince Woodman’s son. I have been browsing the internet for things relating to Dad and his racing career. I came across a chat with several names that I remember discussing with Dad including Mike Bell with whom I had several telephone conversations around the time of Dad’s stroke, Gerry Taylor and yourself in which there were a lot of very complimentary things said about Dad.

Dad has continued to struggle to recover from his stroke and the highlight was his trip to Portimao with Dan Cox and the Escort. It is hard to keep his interest when visiting but as you might suspect motor racing is the thing he loves. I try to keep him informed as to what is going on with drivers and cars that he knew.

Dad has lived in a care home for several years now and is eighty two years old.
I am thinking of trying to contact drivers and people who knew Dad or raced with him at sometime and asking if they could possibly write a brief recollection of an encounter or a race or anything at all they associate with Dad or a photograph etc which I could put into a collection or scrap book to read / show him when I visit.
