President Trump to give command to start engines at Daytona 500

The president will give the command for drivers to “start your engines” before the Daytona 500, part of his duties as grand marshal for NASCAR’s season opener Sunday. Trump will be the third sitting president to attend a race at Daytona, but only the second to attend the Daytona 500. George W. Bush attended in 2004. Trump is the first to be given an honorary role in pre-race ceremonies.

The 2018 WNBA MVP and WNBA Finals MVP is back where she belongs, re-signing an undisclosed contract to return to the Seattle Storm after missing the 2019 WNBA season because of a ruptured right Achilles tendon. Stewart made her return to the court Jan. 27 as a member of the U.S. women’s national team in an exhibition game against her alma mater, UConn. “I’m back and signed up to chase more championships,” Stewart said in a statement. She has been the face of the Storm since entering the league in 2016 and winning Rookie of the Year.
