Super Late Model Short Track Sizzler Race Format

The 100 lap August 10th Super Late Model Short Track Sizzler will feature an exciting new format that will test driver skill and team strategy. There will be no dash races and the field will line up according to qualifying (fastest at the front).

At the 50 lap mark a controlled yellow flag will be displayed. Cars can go to the pits and make adjustments as well as change up to two tires. The mid-break will be limited to 7 minutes*.

Cars have the option to opt out of the pit stop and stay on the track. These cars will move up to the front of the field. Cars that pit will join the field after 7 minutes in the order they were running prior to the red flag but behind the cars the opted out of the pit stop.

At the 75 lap** mark a controlled caution will be displayed to bunch the field for a 25 lap shootout.

*If a car fails to return to the track at the 7 minute mark of the mid-break they will be moved to the rear of the field.

** If a incident on the track causes a caution between laps 70 and 75 that will act as the scheduled controlled caution.
