[Softball] Senkbeil, Hardin, and Kenny Named Daktronics Scholar Athletes
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced today that 395 softball student-athletes have been named 2016-17 Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.The softball team at Aquinas College had a trio of individuals qualify for this honor. Anna Kenny (SR/Shepherd, Michigan) and Ann Hardin (SR/Grandville, Michigan) will be receiving the distinction for the second time in their careers, while Brooke Senkbeil (JR/Canton, Michigan) will garner the award for the first time. The women's softball program has has 15 individuals earn this honor a total of 22 times.
