Reds travel to Mesa to take on the Athletic A’s of Athleticsville

The bad news? There will be no Elly De La Cruz or Matt McLain in today’s Cincinnati Reds lineup, nor a Spencer Steer.

The consolation? Today’s game against the Oakland-Sacramento Athletic A’s of Las Vegas isn’t televised anywhere, so you won’t be able to watch it anyway.

The Reds will send Hunter Greene to the bump again for more Cactus League action, however, so it’s again frustrating that we won’t have the chance to have eyes on him. And, there’s still plenty of everyday regular action in the lineup today, with the likes of TJ Friedl, Tyler Stephenson, & precisely seven more Reds in the starting lineup today.

First pitch in Mesa is set for 3:05 PM ET!

Google Maps says it’s about a 26 hour drive to cover the 1,793 miles between GABP and Hohokam Stadium, so to get there in time for the game you would have needed to leave yesterday morning, which means you would have needed to read this prompt earlier yesterday morning, yet I only just wrote it today-morning (Mountain Time).

I apologize for the non time-travelers out there.
