A’s going for Two straight verses the Sox
The Oakland Athletics once again face off against the Boston Red Sox this afternoon at historic Fenway Park in Boston. Fresh off a victory against the Sox yesterday which saw JP Sears go 5.2 innings of one-run ball and Mason Miller grab his 15th save of the season while Lawrence Butler was the hitting star of the night for the A’s.
In game two of the series, A’s skipper Mark Kotsay will send Luis Medina to the mound. Medina, a 25-year-old righty out of the Dominican Republic, is 2-3 with a 4.37 ERA in seven 2024 starts. Starting for the Red Sox is Tanner Houck, a 28-year-old righty with a 7-6 record with a 2.68 ERA in seventeen starts.
