A’s hope to turn things around at home

The Oakland Athletics return home for the start of a three-game series against the AL Central rival Kansas City Royals at the Oakland Coliseum. The surprising Royals are five games out of first place, behind the Guardians in the Central with a 41-32 record, while the A’s have a solid hold on last place in the West with a 26-48 record.

Oakland will send 27-year-old lefty Hogan Harris to the mound tonight. Harris is 0-0 in five appearances (three starts) in 2024 with a very respectable 2.49 ERA. Harris will match up against 26-year-old righty Alec Marsh. Marsh is 5-3 in twelve 2024 starts with a 3.63 ERA.
