<p>Born in Hillsboro, Oregon, on 15 August 1966, Brosius was a junior at Linfield University, a private liberal arts college, when the Oakland A's drafted him in 1987.</p>

<p>He made his MLB debut on August 7 1991 and homered in his first game. The A's traded Brosius to the New York Yankees after the 1997 season. As a Yankee, Brosius would earn a trip to the All-Star Game (1998), a Gold Glove at third base (1999) and three World Series titles (1998, 1999 and 2000). He was honoured as the 1998 World Series MVP.</p>

<p>After retiring as a player, Brosius returned to Linfield University to finish his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He was inducted into the <a href="https://golinfieldwildcats.com/honors/linfield-athletics-hall-of-fame/scott-brosius/40" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener" aria-label="Linfield Athletics Hall of Fame (opens in a new tab)">Linfield Athletics Hall of Fame </a>in 2002 and became the head coach in 2007. He led the Wildcats to three Division III World Series and won the title in 2013.</p>
