Neeraj Chopra says India must host global athletics competitions within two-three years

Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra aims to raise the profile of Indian athletics by hosting global events in the next two-three years. He wants India to bid for the 2029 World Athletics Championships and also host other global competitions like the Continental Tour event before that. Chopra believes that such events will keep Indian fans interested in athletics and create awareness among them.
