[WAU] 2020 FALL SPORTS HAS BEEN SUSPENDED

Takoma Park, Md. - Washington Adventist University Athletics announces the suspension of all-sports competition, championship, and non-championship segments, for the 2020 fall season, as a result of the continuing COVID-19 Pandemic. We are hopeful that fall sports schedules will be moved to the 2021 spring semester. A decision on winter sports will take place on October 1. The safety of our student-athletes, coaches, and staff is the top priority for Washington Adventist University.

Athletics is an important part of the WAU experience for many of our students and for the College more generally. The A.I.I. has not yet determined what will happen with conference play or how coaches in this extraordinary semester may interact with athletes on fall, winter, and spring teams during the fall semester, but we are hopeful that there will be significant opportunities this fall for coaches to work with those athletes who are both on and off-campus.
