u15, u17 and u20 boys take a whirlwind few days in their stride

0 4

Emma Withers reports…

It’s been a busy week for the u15/u17/u20 boys.

Monday took us out to Blaise Castle Estate for the annual Westbury Wipeout and a chance for the boys to have some fun, it’s a run not a race, taking them off road through the river and scrambling up banks.

Tuesday, the third race in the Sri Chinmoy Summer Series, Eastville Park. Jay continuing his winning streak to bring the Bristol and West boys home, followed by Eion, Jacob, Amos and Will.  Nathan taking on the Seniors 2 mile race and finishing in 10th position.

After a tough training session Wednesday on the track, 4 x 400, 3 x 400, 2 x 400 and 1 x 400, we were grateful for a day of rest on Thursday.  Welcome to Joe, Jacob and Nick who joined us as u15’s for the first time.

Saturday saw three Bristol and West boys take on the Urban Tough Mudder on The Downs, 5k and 13 obstacles, which proved no obstacle for Jacob, Amos and Will.  Thanks Fliss for sorting out the tickets! With no training session at Ashton Court this week, several of the boys took the opportunity to complete a parkrun, well done to Jay, Lewis, Ishmael, Joseph and Tomek.
