[Men's Basketball] Tigers bring home hardware in dominating fashion, 68-48
Georgetown College has a rich history in athletics and especially men's basketball. The 2018-19 team added another layer Tuesday night in Kansas City, Mo. In the Tigers (33-4) 28th straight national championship appearance, they tallied their third title and second in seven seasons.
After trailing 2-0 to Carroll College, GC went on a 9-0 run and finished the half on a 35-13 tear, never looking back. They brought home the 2019 title with a 68-48 win in Municipal Auditorium.
Dominique Reid continued his brilliant play from the Fab Four victory, giving Georgetown 14 points and six rebounds off the bench. His size, strength and mobility were too much for the Fighting Saints.
Three other Tigers tallied double figures in a picture perfect example of how this team plays – together and as a family.
