[Women's Lacrosse] Martin hired to lead the Lady Bulldogs Lacrosse program

Athens, Tn. – Athletic Director Donny Mayfield and the Tennessee Wesleyan University Athletics Department announce the hiring of Derrel Martin, Jr. as Head Coach of the Women's Lacrosse team.   

Martin brings over a decade of lacrosse coaching experience to Tennessee Wesleyan after spending the last two years as a youth coach in Stafford, Virginia where his team won a Northern Virginia championship.  Martin was a founder of the Cookeville, TN High School and Middle School programs and led the high school team to multiple state playoff appearances in his seven years as head coach.  During his tenure, the Cookeville Cavaliers produced twelve Academic All-Americans and two National Tournament players.
