A's SS Elvis Andrus undergoes surgery on fibula
Oakland Athletics shortstop Elvis Andrus had successful surgery on his season-ending fractured left fibula, with the team saying the 13-year veteran is expected to be healthy by the time spring training starts in February.
Andrus was injured rounding third base Saturday and collapsed on the plate to seal a 2-1, walk-off victory over the Houston Astros.
