No archery Sunday, February 5th

Just a reminder that there is no indoor shoot at Saanich Commonwealth this coming Sunday, February 5th. JOP and regular club shoot will resume at their usual times the following Sunday, Feb 12. You can find the indoor shoot schedule in our calendar here.

Next Board meeting February 9th

Our next club Board of Directors meeting is Thursday, February 9th @ 7PM at Saanich Commonwealth Place in the Arbutus Room (the room right across from the gym entrance). Members are welcome to attend.

Upcoming tournaments

A reminder that there are a couple of tournaments coming up:

• Sunday, March 5th: we will be hosting the Vancouver Island portion of the Archery Canada Regional Indoor Championships at Saanich Commonwealth. Mark your calendars and stay tuned for more info!

• Sunday, April 16th: we will also be hosting the Vancouver Island portion of the JOP Provincial Indoor Championships. If you’d like to compete please talk to Helena!

Club memberships and cards

Hopefully you have all renewed your club memberships for 2023. If you haven’t, please do so as we can’t allow you to shoot without a valid membership and the included insurance, which is a requirement of Archery Canada, BC Archery, and Saanich Commonwealth (for our indoor shoots).

Membership renewal is a quick process via our website and after renewing your membership, you’ll receive a link to a PDF file of your membership card that you can print out. Click here to renew your membership.

We also ask that members display their cards clearly so they can be seen. Al has the club laminator should anyone want their card laminated. And please remember to sign in at every indoor shoot. It is necessary for our reporting of insured members, any guests, and for our own data.
