Vlog Serie: German floorball culture

Hello to everyone and greetings from snowy and cold Finland!

I recently refereed a few 1. Bundesliga games in Hamburg and launched a vlog series titled: In the Footsteps of German Floorball Culture.

Please check out the content and consider whether it could be of interest to a broader floorball audience in Germany. Feel free to share the vlog as you see fit. 

The series will continue, and the next episode is already in the works. Referees Steven Ehebrecht and Tim Galetzka will be arriving in Finland next weekend. I’ll be their contact person, and I plan to mic´d them up and film one of their matches, along with the referee coaching feedback session afterward. This could also be an interesting angle if you’d like them to share their travel experiences more broadly—though, of course, I can’t promise anything on their behalf.

I believe this vlog series could spark curiosity about refereeing and serve as positive PR in Germany, perhaps even helping to recruit new referees.

For the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing German floorball through the eyes of a referee, and it has been an honor to support your referees in becoming even better. The journey continues, and so does our collaboration. I am truly fascinated by your sport culture and I see great potential for its growth in floorball scene.

I’d be delighted if the federation also wanted to highlight the role of refereeing. Progress happens through teamwork and communication – wishing you a great week ahead!
