IHSA girls basketball scores: 7 Peoria-area teams advance to sectional finals

Seven Peoria-area girls basketball teams have moved on to the Sweet Sixteen of the IHSA postseason. In Class 3A, it will be an all-local sectional final between Washington and Galesburg. Heart of Illinois Conference rivals Deer Creek-Mackinaw and Heyworth go head-to-head in Class 1A. Class 1A also features three local teams in Havana, Midland and Wethersfield.
