Freddy Schott and Alejandro Del Rey opened their Bahrain Championship in style, each recording a 65 to tie atop the leaderboard after the first round at Royal Golf Club. Spaniard Del Rey has yet to miss a cut on what is his fifth start of the 2026 DP World Tour campaign, and he continued his rich vein of form in the third event of the International Swing.
