For the first time in school history, Norfolk Christian retired a jersey. And the honor went to no other than former basketball standout James Michael McAdoo. McAdoo, who graduated in 2011, was a dominant force in Hampton Roads. He was a three-time first-team All-Tidewater selection, a two-time Gatorade Virginia Boys Basketball Player of the Year and a McDonald’s All-American. He shared the 2011 All-Tidewater Player of the Year honors with current Houston Rockets forward Dorian Finney-Smith.
