SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — Nominees for the 2025 Eclipse Awards were announced last Sunday, with the winners in the 17 categories to be announced on Jan. 22. Most of the 10 equine awards appear to be competitive to one degree or another. Exceptions include the contest for three-year-old male where Sovereignty, a five-time graded-stakes winner – including the Kentucky Derby, Belmont Stakes, and Travers – will likely be the unanimous choice.
