EHL and ABN AMRO extend long-standing partnership
The Euro Hockey League (EHL) is delighted to announce the continuation of its long‑standing partnership with ABN AMRO, reinforcing one of hockey’s most long-standing and successful sponsorship relationships.
ABN AMRO has been a central supporter of the EHL’s vision for innovation, inclusivity, and the continued elevation of club hockey since its inception in 2007.
The renewed agreement ensures that both organisations will continue working together to expand the reach and impact of the world’s premier club hockey competition.
Speaking about ABN AMRO’s support, EHL chairman Peter Elders said: “ABN AMRO’s support has been instrumental in helping the Euro Hockey League evolve into a truly inclusive festival.
“Their commitment enabled us to integrate many new elements over recent years from the expansion of EHL Women to the introduction of Hockey ID and the recent addition of Walking Hockey.
“Today, instead of smaller standalone events, we are proud to present one major showcase where the best men’s and women’s teams compete on the same stage.
“Last year’s event demonstrated exactly where we want to take the EHL. By bringing multiple hockey formats together at a single venue, each with its own athletes and fan communities, we were able to create a vibrant, festival‑like atmosphere. It showed how powerful the EHL can be when all forms of the sport come together.”
Elders also hailed the relationship with ABN AMRO sponsorship manager Marco Moers for his hands-on connection and positive input. Moers was recently nominated for a Women’s Visibility award for his work in this realm in the “biggest maverick” category for his work in tackling gender inequality.
“For me, it represents how sports sponsorship should work,” Elders added. “We offer a high‑quality sporting environment where ABN AMRO can engage and inspire their network.
“The combination of elite competition and professional hospitality creates a partnership that delivers real value. It is a relationship that benefits the sport, the athletes, the fans, and the sponsor alike.”
