Mannheimer HC and Düsseldorf face off once again

Mannheimer HC are looking forward to yet another meeting with Düsseldorfer HC in the German indoor championship playoff stages as the pair meet on Saturday at the “Volvo ERB Final4 2026” at the Süwag Energie Arena in Frankfurt.

The reigning women’s champions from MHC meet DHC at 12pm in one of German hockey’s most frequent match-ups. No tournament has yet taken place in the Frankfurt Arena where MHC and DHC haven’t faced each other. The fourth edition will be no different.

They met in the semifinals in 2023 and 2025, and in the final in 2024. The “Frankfurt record” stands at 2-1 in favour of Mannheim, who won the last two encounters, with a 5-4 victory in last year’s semi-final.

MHC advanced from the quarterfinals with a hard-fought 3-1 win over the East runners-up, TuS Lichterfelde. DHC, the West group winners who are still undefeated this season, achieved the most impressive of all four women’s quarterfinal results, beating the North runners-up, Harvestehuder THC, 10-2.

The second semi-final will see Rot-Weiss Köln up against Berliner HC (2:15 pm) before the men’s semi-finals hit the court. In those games, HTC Uhlenhorst Mülheim play Mannheimer HC (4:30 pm) and TSV Mannheim Hockey play UHC Hamburg (6:45 pm).

The winners of the four semi-final matches will contest the finals on Sunday. The women’s title will be decided at 12 noon, and the men’s championship at 2:45 pm.
