ABN AMRO EHL FINALS – what you need to know
The ABN AMRO EHL FINALS comes to HC ’s-Hertogenbosch for the first time for a six-day carnival of hockey, running from April 16 to 21.
Twenty-six elite matches in the world’s best club competition over six days; here’s what you need to know about the event!
Who is playing?
12 women’s teams; 8 men’s teams from eight different countries in total, 12 national champions with over 80 Olympians and 150 international players on show!

What is the format?
It’s knock-out hockey all round. The EHL Women’s competition features a preliminary round with eight teams competing in four FINAL12 matches with the winners joining the remaining four teams in the FINAL8 showdowns. The winners advance to the weekend’s FINAL4 and GRAND FINAL. Losers in the FINAL12 and FINAL8 will play in a Ranking Match.
On the men’s side, they begin at the FINAL8 stage; again, winners advance while the losers in the first phase will play a Ranking Match.

Getting there
There are different ways to get to the HC ‘s-Hertogenbosch complex.
- Come by bike as much as possible! There are plenty of places in the bicycle shed.
- If you come by car, park at the Brabanthallen and take the shuttle bus. More information about parking can be found on this page.
- By public transport:
- From the ‘s-Hertogenbosch train station:
- Taxi (10 minutes)
- OV bike (if available) (15 minutes cycling)
- Arriva bus (line 1, 3, 11 or 156). For Arriva buses, check the local timetable and allow for at least 30 minutes travel time (incl 1.1 or 1.5 km walk from bus (exit) stop to the stadium)
- Bus transportation in general:
- The closest bus stop is 1.1 km (Dommelstraat stop), 1.5 km (Lambooijbrug stop) or 1.6 km (Jan Heijmanslaan stop) – walk to the stadium (between 15 – 20 minutes walk)

The EHL is a complete hockey festival with a full programme of side events throughout the weekend, retail stands and a party atmosphere at the food and beverage outlets.
